Railfuture Rail User Group Awards 2023
RAGES has been awarded the Railfuture Rail User Group Best Campaign Gold Award for 2023.
RAGES were invited to attend the 9th year of
Railfuture's Rail User Group (RUG) awards on 15th July 2023.
Attending on behalf of RAGES were Barrie Forrest BEM, chairperson, Tom
Dickson, vice-chairperson and Glenn Moulding, committee member.
Barrie and Tom received the award on behalf of RAGES.
Tom gave a short presentation to the audience which consisted of how
RAGES got started, their successes and future ambitions for a new
station for Haddington.
Unfortunately, our Honorary President Tom Thorburn was unable to attend
due to health issues.
Railfuture's annual Awards for Rail User Groups, inaugurated in 2012,
aim to recognise and reward local volunteers who come together and work
tirelessly to improve their local railway - its stations and services -
on behalf of their passengers, efforts which all-too-often would
otherwise pass unheralded.
